VinaCapital Foundation - International Friendship Run for Children (IFRC) - Hanoi Dec 2022
The Organizing Committee of “the International Friendship Run for Children 2022” would like to convey our warmest greetings to Foreign Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations in Vietnam and has the honor to inform that The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) in collaboration with the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) and the VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) organize “the International Friendship Run for Children”, scheduled for the morning of December 11, 2022 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Ha Noi Capital City. The Run aims to raise support for the treatment of congenital heart defects and cancer for disadvantaged Vietnamese children.
“The International Friendship Run for Children” is a continuation of the Terry Fox Run, and has been “the Hanoi Run for Children” from 2009 to 2019. The Run has become a social cultural event that attracts a large number of people, the business community and international friends who desire to help children who need medical assistance.
Over the past 5 years, the charity event has raised more than 5 billion VND. The fund raised since 2009 has supported the treatment of 281 children suffering from congenital heart defects and 131 pediatric cancer patients at the National Children's Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital, and the Heartbeat Vietnam Program under VinaCapital Foundation.
The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations is confident that “the International Friendship Run for Children” will spread the noble significance of this activity. Together we will raise the compassion of the people of the Capital City and our international friends, joining hands to build a good and loving society, instilling hope and faith in a bright future for less fortunate children and their families.
The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations cordially invites Ambassadors and diplomats in the Diplomatic Mission in Hanoi and your families to participate in “the International Friendship Run for Children.” The Organizing Committee would very much appreciates it if the Foreign Diplomatic Missions and the International Organizations in Vietnam could disseminate information on “the International Friendship Run for Children” and assist the Organizing Committee in connecting with the business community of your respective countries that may become sponsors of the event.
