Rod assumes the role of AusCham Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors in 2024-25. He was appointed as the Da Nang Representative in December 2023 and leads the finance committee and serves on the AusHub committee.

With over 40 years of diverse experience as a researcher and academic, Rod has left an indelible mark on education, agribusiness, and food supply chains in the Asia Pacific Region. His passion lies in empowering partners and clients to maximize efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance. The utilization of social systems to fuel growth. His career has moved from production and processing research to economic research to finally a large program in people and culture research. 

Whether it’s strategic planning or people development, Rod’s commitment shines through. This is his mission for the businesses in Viet Nam with a special focus on Da Nang. I addition to working with the business community in the region, he passion is the local charities in the region. From his perspective it is essential we demonstrate our community commitment.

Rod holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, a Graduate Certificate in Business Research from the University of Southern Queensland; a fellow of the Royal Institute of Research in Singapore; and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Public Accountants.
