Huong Tran
Advocacy Officer
Before joining the Australian Chamber of Commerce as Advocacy Officer, Huong Tran had been working for the Ministry of Industry and Trade for 10 years. She has a strong background and a wealth of experience in international trade and public policy analysis. Huong holds a Bachelor of External Economics from Foreign Trade University and a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She can speak Vietnamese, English, and Russian fluently and is an Australia Awards-ASEAN scholarship recipient issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). During her career with MOIT, she had extensive experience in working with various stakeholders (government, private sector, business association, academia, etc.). She was a key figure in various MOIT’s state-funded projects and Vietnam’s representative negotiator of trade remedies issues in several FTAs (RCEP, FTA Viet Nam – Israel, etc.)
