
Huong Tran
Head of Advocacy & Partnerships
Before joining the Australian Chamber of Commerce as Head of Advocacy & Partnerships, Huong Tran spent 10 years at the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), building extensive expertise in international trade and public policy analysis. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in External Economics from Foreign Trade University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Huong is fluent in Vietnamese, English, and Russian, and is an Australia Awards-ASEAN scholarship recipient awarded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
During her tenure at MOIT, she collaborated with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, the private sector, business associations, and academia. She played a key role in multiple state-funded projects and represented Vietnam in trade remedies negotiations under several Free Trade Agreements, including RCEP and the Vietnam-Israel FTA.
